Realme is the sub-brand of Oppo and has been popular since their first phone launch named the Realme 1. Back in May 2018 when Realme first launched Realme 1 with the helio p60 processor in the price range of around 10k INR, it was a major hit. Realme started growing exponentially and competing with the budget king Redmi note series from Xiaomi.
Every year realme launches new phones targeting different user communities. With time Realme phones are getting better and also are getting more pricy than their previous gen phones. Recently, Realme launched its new phone named the Realme 10 pro plus 5G with the flagship curved display technology. By doing this Realme becomes the first brand to provide flagship-level curved displays in this price category. The new phone is launched in Nepal exclusively in daraz at a price of Nrs 45999*.
Realme 10 pro plus 5G
Let’s talk about the main features of this phone that make it stand out among its competitors.
Display

One of the major upgrades of the Realme 10 pro+ compared to the 9 pro+ is its stunning 6.7” curved AMOLED display which supports 1 billion+ color. The curved display has a refresh rate of 120 Hz and a peak brightness of around 800 nits. Furthermore, this phone also received TÜV Rheinland Flicker Free Certificate, which assures that there will be no flickering in very low screen brightness. The display feels premium thanks to its 61-degree curvature and minimal bezels. Also, the support for HDR 10+ is the icing on the cake. However, there is no official gorilla glass protection in the display which might be a mood off for some users.
Performance

The Realme 10 Pro plus is powered by Mediatek’s Dimensity 1080 5g chipset. This super power efficient chipset is not much of an update from its predecessor Dimensity 920. This processor is powerful enough to handle your day-to-day tasks with ease and is also capable of gaming. The Antutu benchmark score of this phone is around 520k which is very impressive. This 6nm chip is also 5G capable.
Build
Realme 10 Pro plus has a plastic back panel and also a plastic frame in between. The plastic build of this phone makes this phone super lightweight at just 173 gm. The hyperspace color variant has a unique glossy finish and is also a fingerprint magnet however the Dark Matter Black and Nebula Blue variant are of matte nature.
Cameras

Last-gen Realme 9 pro plus had an excellent camera comparison of a 50mp sony sensor with an OIS. This year however Realme used a 108mp Samsung sensor and OIS is also missing. The other two cameras include an 8 mp ultrawide and a 2 mp gimmicky macro lens. The primary shooter is capable of shooting 4k-30fps and 1080p-30/60 fps videos and has gyro EIS support.
Battery and charging
The phone despite being super lightweight surprisingly packs a 5000mAh battery inside. The massive battery is backed by 67watts SUPERVOOC charging support that charges the phone to 50% in just 17 minutes as advertised. The dimensity 1080 5G processor being super efficient and the battery being of that large capacity ensures that the phone can easily go on for a whole day without a doubt.
Extra features
10 pro plus is packed with loads of extra features. The haptic feedback in this phone is super good and is definitely an upgrade over last year. Out of the box, this phone comes with android 13 and realme UI 4.0 which is very impressive. Realme also promised 2 years of major OS upgrades for this phone. The display does not have any gorilla glass protection on it but the company claimed that they used 0.65mm of double-reinforced glass for the protection. The phone also has pretty good dual- speakers which enhance your multimedia consumption along with the beautiful curved display. There is also a snappy under-display fingerprint sensor for security.
To sum up:
The realme 10 pro plus is not a perfect phone. It might also be a downgrade from 9pro plus in some departments like camera, screen protection, and back panel builds. The phone also lacks a headphone jack previously present in 9 pro plus. The UI is also full of bloatware and contains many ads(which can be disabled). But if a user can deal with these, then this phone is definitely a banger. The premium curved display in this price range accompanied by the 1080 5G processor along with the best battery backup is definitely a job well done by Realme. And I definitely agree that this phone is one of the best phones under 50000 in Nepal.
